Kitchen Remodel with Moss Green Accent Wall and Statement Backsplash
The kitchen was completely gutted and reduced in size to accommodate an internal staircase leading to a basement apartment, which could function as an ADU or serve as an extension of the English Cottage. The eastern kitchen wall was replaced with an island, opening the space between the formal dining room and the U-shaped kitchen. Custom Zellige Habiba tile was chosen for the backsplash, Tao Tumbled Limestone for the flooring, and Vietnam White Marble was selected the the countertops. These elements were paired with white custom cabinetry and a green accent pantry wall, with pulls and knobs matching the antique glass doorknobs of the existing 1920s house. The kitchen is now an inviting space for gathering, cooking, drinking, and socializing.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue
The compact bathroom in this charming English Cottage, built in 1928, was remodeled to preserve the fine craftsmanship celebrated during the 1920s. For the "New and Blue" aspect, green-blue rectangular tile with undulation was selected for the shower walls and wainscoting, complemented by matching 1"x1" hexagonal floor tile, a wall-mounted sink, polished chrome retro fixtures, a curved medicine cabinet, and a compact toilet. The "Old" element involved keeping the original cast-iron tub, which remains in excellent condition and cannot be replaced with anything comparable today, nor could it be easily removed. "Borrowed" refers to white rectangular subway tile with undulation, leftover from a previous remodel, which was used for the windowsill. The result is a small bathroom transformed into a green-blue spa oasis, perfect for either a relaxing bath or daily grooming routines.
